A catamaran cruise is the classic Aruba day out. You sail the calm west coast, stop to snorkel, and sip from the open bar while the crew handles everything. Sunset cruises are shorter and more romantic, so couples love them. Families, however, tend to prefer the daytime snorkel sails.

- Anything sold as a “full island tour” in three hours — you will see a bus window and a gift shop. Rent a car and use our itinerary instead.

- Book the boat day early in your trip — if the wind kicks up, you still have days left to reschedule.
