The classic route
Their signature 4-hour UTV adventure strings together Philip’s Animal Garden — the island’s largest exotic animal sanctuary — the Alto Vista Chapel, Baby Bridge, the Bushiribana gold mill ruins, and the Natural Bridge coastline. It is Aruba’s rugged north in one loop, with the desert doing the scenery.

Couples wanting control take the 2-seater UTV; groups lean Jeep or Hummer so everyone rides together. Either way, book the morning slot — cooler air, softer light, and the Natural Pool before the crowds if your route includes it.
What an off-road day with them is actually like
The north coast is the opposite of the calm hotel side of Aruba. The ground is limestone and dust, the wind comes straight off the Atlantic, and the sea on that side is rough enough that swimming is only sensible in the sheltered spots your guide chooses. Convoys run single file with a lead guide and a sweep at the back, and there are stops roughly every 20 to 30 minutes — which is what makes it workable even if you have never driven off-road.
You will finish covered in dust. Everyone does. That is part of it.
Important: no UTVs or ATVs inside Arikok
Since 2020, UTVs, ATVs and motorcycles are not permitted inside Arikok National Park. Only cars, jeeps, vans and pickups may enter. So an ATV or UTV convoy runs the north coast outside the park — Alto Vista, the Bushiribana ruins, the Natural Bridge area, Andicuri, the Wariruri stretch. If you specifically want the Natural Pool, you need a Jeep or 4×4 safari, not a quad. Ask before you pay — this catches people out constantly.
What to bring
- Closed shoes. Not flip-flops. The rock is sharp and the footwells get hot.
- A bandana or buff for your face. Dust is the whole story on this tour.
- Sunglasses — eye protection more than style. Grit flies.
- More water than you think. The wind hides how much you are sweating.
- Swimsuit under your clothes if there is a swim stop, and a towel that you do not mind ruining.
- A strap for your phone. Loose phones do not survive this terrain.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
It suits people who want a physical day and do not mind being shaken around. Drivers usually need a valid licence and to be over a set age; passengers can be younger, but the vibration and heat are hard on small children — for families, a safari-truck or Jeep tour covers the same coast in shade and with seatbelts.
Skip it if you have back or neck problems, if you are pregnant, or if you burn easily and hate wind. It is also not the tour for anyone hoping for a relaxing morning.
