Palm Beach hotels
This is where most of the island’s big brands are lined up shoulder to shoulder: Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt Regency, Marriott, Hilton, the two Riu Palaces, Barceló and Holiday Inn, all beachfront. Behind them, a second row of suites, boutique hotels and apartments sits a few minutes’ walk from the sand, usually at a fraction of the price. The beach itself is calm and warm, ideal for swimming, but it is the narrowest of the main beaches and the palapas go early.

Eagle Beach and Manchebo hotels
Eagle Beach is the wide, postcard beach with the fofoti trees. Hotels here are capped at a few storeys, so nothing looms over the sand. The catch is dinner: there are good restaurants on the road behind the beach, but the choice is smaller than Palm Beach, and a taxi or car opens up much more. If you value quiet mornings and unobstructed sunsets over nightlife, this is your coast.

Aruba is not an all-inclusive island in the way the Dominican Republic or Jamaica is; most hotels are room-only and the restaurant scene is a big part of the trip.
