Weekend afternoons when Baby Beach is full

Rodgers Beach is the next bay along from Baby Beach at the southern tip of the island, with fishing boats moored in the shallows and the old refinery on the skyline. It has the same calm water as its famous neighbour and a fraction of the visitors, which makes it the local choice when the Baby Beach lot is full.

Swimming and water conditions

The bay is sheltered and shallow, good for children and easy swimming. The bottom has some rocks and sea grass, so water shoes help.

Snorkelling

Along the rocks at either end there are fish in clear water; not as much as at Baby Beach’s lagoon mouth, but pleasant.

Facilities, shade and parking

A handful of palapas and free parking. No restrooms or food: walk or drive two minutes to Baby Beach for both.

Make a day of it

Pair Rodgers with Baby Beach in the morning, lunch and the murals in San Nicolas, then fish on the pier at Zeerovers on the way back.

How to get to Rodgers Beach

Rodgers Beach is at the far southern tip of the island, past San Nicolas, about 35 to 45 minutes’ drive from the Palm Beach hotels. Follow the signs for Baby Beach; Rodgers is the bay just before it. A rental car is the easiest way; taxis work, but arrange the pickup time in advance because few pass by.

🌊 Rodgers Beach is out east

Reserve a car with our local partner Triple D, or see the island with a local ISLA guide. Nothing is charged until we confirm.
