What the visit is really like
The famous birds live on the adults-only side, wading between sunbeds and posing like professionals. Feed them from your palm, take the photo, then claim a palapa. Additionally, the island has a family beach, a restaurant, and genuinely good snorkeling along the mangroves.
Tips for the perfect flamingo morning
- Go on a weekday and arrive on the first water taxi — photos before the crowds.
- Passes are limited: ask the concierge one day ahead, not at 9 a.m. that morning.
- Bring water shoes; the lagoon side is shell-sharp.
