Clothing Reality Check
Aruba is casual. Shorts and sandals cover 90% of the trip; one collared shirt or sundress handles fine dining (only 2 Fools and a handful of others lean dressier). For the Arikok UTV day: closed shoes, clothes you’re willing to coat in dust, and a bandana — trust us on the bandana.
The Smart Extras

Leave at Home
Umbrella (it rains 15 minutes a year, dramatically), hair dryer (every hotel has one), formal wear beyond one outfit, snorkel fins if space is tight (rentals are everywhere), and anything you’d be sad to lose to a windy beach.
Buy It There Instead
Groceries and beach-day supplies at Super Food or Ling & Sons, cheap floats and sand toys in Oranjestad, and aloe products — Aruba grows the world’s best aloe, and the local Aruba Aloe shops sell after-sun that beats anything you’d pack. It’s the best souvenir on the island anyway.
