What makes this cove special
The water is shallow, glassy, and full of sergeant majors, parrotfish, and the occasional turtle. Because the cove is small, fish concentrate rather than scatter. Entry is simple from the sand, though water shoes help on the rocky edges.
Know before you go
- Palapas are few — arrive early or bring an umbrella.
- No facilities: pack water, snacks, and everything else.
- Catamaran groups anchor offshore mid-morning; go before 10 a.m. for the cove to yourself.
- Tres Trapi, the famous turtle steps, sits a short walk south.
